Joe Biden Officially Launches 2020 Presidential Run

With the 2020 presidential election right around the corner, many people have been wondering if the former Vice President Joe Biden was going to announce a run for office. Recently those people got the answer they were looking for because Joe Biden just announced his run for the 2020 Presidency. Just 24 hours after announcing his run for the 2020 presidential office, Joe Biden received $6.3 Million dollars in campaign donations which is more than any other 2020 Democratic presidential nominee.

Odds of Him Winning

Since his announcement, Joe Biden has jumped ahead of virtually every other Democratic presidential candidate when it comes to the polling numbers. During his Vice Presidency under the Obama white house from 2009-2017, Joe Biden was loved by many Democratic and Republican party members and government officials alike. His run for the 2020 Presidential office could see very promising results as the former Vice President has already received tons of huge support.

While Biden has received a lot of support from trusted media personalities and political figures, there are some people who are not pleased with his attempt at grabbing the Presidential seat. Recently, Joe Biden tried apologizing to Anita Hill over the events that took place during the Clarence Thomas trial however she immediately released a statement declaring that his apology came up short. “I cannot be satisfied by simply saying, ‘I’m sorry for what happened to you,’” Hill said. “I will be satisfied when I know that there is real change and real accountability and real purpose.”

Campaign mission

In a recent statement about the current President Donald Trump, Joe Biden stated “I believe history will look back on four years of this President and all he embraces as an abhorrent moment in time. But if we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation – who we are – and I cannot stand by and watch that happen.” Joe Biden’s 2020 Presidential campaign is all about helping those in need and transforming the damage done by the current President.

When compared to other candidates running for the 2020 presidential nomination, Joe Biden has some pretty extensive qualifications that one would think make him more of a desirable choice than his opponents. Given that the American public is already familiar with him being in an official pollical position, some assume it increases his odds of winning the office, however, he does have critics. He is known for some questionable past policy decisions as well as his seemingly too frequent blunders during speeches and other appearances. Right now, Biden is outperforming his Democratic rivals like Bernie Sanders in large amounts at the polls so he may avoid long term effects of past mistakes.

Biden in Office

Joe Biden as President would look a lot like one would expect from a progressive Democratic candidate. When it comes to diversity in the polls, people of all genders and ages are showing their support for a potential Joe Biden 2020 presidential win. Joe Biden is no newcomer to running for the Presidential office as he had failed campaigns from 1988 and 2008. If Joe Biden wins the 2020 presidential candidate nomination, he will be the oldest known president to ever hold the seat.

As the 2020 presidential election heats up, we can expect firey exchanges between Joe Biden and Donald Trump as the two have already started going after each other during speeches and on social media, however, his supporters have made clear they hope he is able to focus his campaign around his intended policy changes and how he plans to change the current state of the country.
