Tiffany Haddish Becomes New Host of “Kids Say the Darndest Things”

for years putting in the necessary work to reach mainstream success and it sure has paid off for her. It was just announced that the comedic genius would be the new host of the popular ABC TV series “Kids Say the Darndest Things” which was a massive success in the ’90s with now troubled Bill Cosby as host. The new series will feature Tiffany Haddish in, both, in-studio and on location segments with the very famous actress interacting with today’s kids in order to get an idea of what’s going on with today’s youth.

Details About the New Deal

Haddish will be an executive producer on the upcoming Darndest Things reboot and she will be interacting with actual kids on the show – not paid actors. In a statement about her new deal to host the show on ABC, Tiffany Haddish said the following, “I’m excited to hear what kids have to say these days because I can’t understand what they are saying on social media, they’re using too many abbreviations!” 

The show aims to bridge the gap between younger generations and the elders who’ve come before them in order to get a grasp on the direction of where things are going today. The new series will air on ABC at 8 p.m. on Sunday’s during the fall as part of a three-hour block of programming that will start with the classic show “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and end with hit entrepreneur show, “Shark Tank.” ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke said of the deal, “When I was dreaming of stars I wanted to bring to ABC, Tiffany Haddish was top of my list. Tiffany starring in and producing this iconic series is everything I hoped for.” CBS TV Studios, which owns the rights to the format, is producing the show with Anvil 1893 Entertainment and Haddish’s She Ready Prods.

Haddish is known for her authentically raw personality and beloved ‘unapologetic blackness’ which is why she’s the perfect host for the upcoming reboot for a show all about being unapologetic. 

The show will host Tiffany Haddish interacting with kids in different segments like “Kids Rule” and “Best Carpool Ever.” The show will host a diverse group of kids who will give Haddish advice on everything from love to sportsmanship. David Stapf said the following about the upcoming reboot of the popular reboot, “It’s a warm and funny family program that is sure to provide both tears and peals of laughter to viewers of all ages.”

Tiffany Haddish can now add a seasoned TV host to her Hollywood resume.  The “Kids Say the Darndest Things” reboot will surely bring back nostalgic memories for many people who remember the series from when it first aired on TV. Haddish already has a lot on her plate with starring roles opposite Tracy Morgan on TBS’ comedy series “The Last O.G.,” and as the voice of “Tuca” on Netflix’s animated series “Tuca and Bertie.” The LA-born beauty also has a one-hour stand-up comedy special debuting on Netflix at the end of this year.
