It was recently announced that popular singer and pop star Lizzo has just struck a TV deal with Amazon. The details of the deal involved Lizzo working with Amazon Studios to create a series of television shows that will be showcased on the Amazon Prime platform. In a statement released about the deal, Lizzo said the following “Iâ€™m so excited to partner with the amazing team at Amazon.”
This deal will help further solidify Lizzo’s stance in the entertainment industry as the singer has already won a Grammy.
“Thank you to Jen Salke and the rest of the team for making this dream come true. I canâ€™t wait to get started and share my vision with the world.” said the songstress.
Some of Lizzo’s prior credentials include three separate Grammy wins at the 2020 Grammy Awards for best pop solo performance, urban contemporary album, and one for traditional R&B performance. Jennifer Salke who is the head of Amazon Studios said the following about the company’s new deal with the pop star “Lizzo is one of the most exciting, creative, joyful artists in the industry, and it is such a pleasure to announce this new deal with her.”

Salke continued by saying “She has such a unique perspective and weâ€™re so excited to hear her ideas for new content that our Prime Video customers are sure to love.” Lizzo first made wavs in the music industry with her now triple-platinum hit single titles “Truth Hurts” which was the longest running number one song by a solo female rap artist in history.
Lizzo has over 4 billion global streams across various streaming platforms like Spotify which has made her a household name. It will be interesting to see what ideas Lizzo infuses into her deal with Amazon Studios as her music alone is very creative and stands out amongst the sea of redundancy that is prevalent throughout the industry today.
