Megan Thee Stallion has been on a roll lately releasing smash hit after smash hit. About a month ago, Megan surprised everyone with the remix’s release to her wildly successful song “Savage” off her debut album Suga. Well, on June 26th, things got a little hotter for the hot girl coach as she dropped off an unexpected track titled “Girls In The Hood” which has a lot of people talking.

In Megan’s recently released “Girls In The Hood” song, she uses samples from the popular song titled “Boyz-N-The-Hood” which was released by now-deceased rapper Eazy-E back in 1987. In Megan’s version, she uses the same underlying theme and ambiance offered by the original track while adding her own twist to it.

Megan posted a tweet letting her fans know that she was going to release the son before she did, which got many people excited and the final product more than delivered.

How the song sounds sonically

Megan’s “Girls In The Hood” song was produced by legendary producer Scott Storch and Illadaproducer, who is a very close Eminem associate. Sonically, the song is very clean and polished while also retaining that grit and hardcore nature that the original track provided.

“Girls In The Hood” marks Megan Thee Stallion’s fourth single this year alone. You can tell that Megan was happy at the fact that she was able to do a remix to such a legendary song because, in an interview with The Guardian magazine, the singer recalls how shocked she was when she got the call that Beyonce wanted to do a remix to her song “Savage.”
