The original “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” show aired from 1990-1996, but when Cooper’s clip was first posted to YouTube in March 2019, Will found the piece “brilliant.”
What it meansÂ

In a statement, he reflected on how the original sitcom’s characters would be interesting to see in a contemporary landscape. “The Carlton character — a Black, young Republican, modern-day? The heat that will be stirred up between these characters. It’s like, ‘What’s the Hilary character in a world of Instagram and social media?” he elaborated.
As executive director of “Bel-Air,” Will Smith has also promised a reunion coming to the HBO Max platform with “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”‘s original cast.
